Message from National Highways
I am writing to let you know that we will be carrying out essential maintenance works
on the A14 from Junction 12 through to Junction 13. During our scheme of work, we
will carry out;
• Carriageway resurfacing
• Vegetation clearance
• Drainage remediation
• Sign renewal
Please note that all our planned roadworks may be subject to change due to weather
conditions or unforeseen circumstances.
To keep our programme for these works as short as possible and to minimise
disruption to the local community, residents, businesses and road users, we will be
working under full carriageway closures one direction at a time
Closures will be in place between 8pm and 6am, Monday to Friday. Some weekend
working may be required and will be advised once programme has been confirmed.
During these closures fully signed diversion routes will be in place, which have been
agreed with the Local Authority.
We will make sure that access to businesses and residences is maintained wherever
possible.
We apologise for any inconvenience caused and will do our very best to complete the
work as quickly as possible, keeping disturbances and noise to a minimum.

RE: KETTERING ENERGY PARK: AMENDED MASTERPLAN AND ADDITIONAL CONSULTATION (ENDS 15TH MAY 2024)
In April 2023 North Northamptonshire Council promoted First Renewable Developments’ public consultation on the draft Kettering Energy Park Masterplan.
Following feedback from the local community and other stakeholders, an amended Masterplan has been prepared by First Renewable Developments. This responds to recommendations from the Council’s Planning Communities Executive Advisory Panel and now proposes, amongst other changes, less warehousing and more biodiversity net gain.
As a result, there is now a further opportunity for all stakeholders to share feedback on this amended Masterplan.
You can find more information and how responses can be made on First Renewable Developments’ website. This includes Technical documents that have informed development of the Masterplan as well as a feedback form and alternative points of contact including telephone number, email address (KetteringEnergyPark@connectpa.co.uk) and postal address.
Representations can also be made at a public exhibition by First Renewable Developments to be held:
On: Saturday 20th April 2024
Time: 10:30am to 1:30pm
Venue: Finedon Community Centre
71 Wellingborough Road
Finedon
NN9 5LG
Venue Location: https://maps.app.goo.gl/qQKgo2En88eNApfR6
At this exhibition you can learn more about what is proposed, speak with the project team, and share your views.
Please note that consultation on the amended Masterplan closes at midnight, 15th May 2024.
Further information on this consultation is available on the NNC Consultation Hub.
Best regards,
Planning Policy (North Northamptonshire Council)
Following concerns from residents regarding receiving a full 12 month service- North Northants Council have stated the following-
With regards to the concern that residents did not receive a 12 months subscription ending 31 March 2024:
Where a garden waste subscription at a property commenced on 1 April 2023 the subscription would expire on 31 March 2024. and the subscription is for a period of one year
The date printed on the initial stickers last year allowed for a grace period to enable the back-office processes to be completed. The date printed is a visual queue for our collection crew colleagues. It represents the latest date collections should be completed prior to collection crews rejecting containers on the kerbside for an out of date subscription. It built in a bit of grace to avoid a situation where the crew immediately stop emptying the bin after the end of the subscription period while the renewal may still be being processed by the office. In this way, we can avoid inconvenience for the resident and unnecessary correspondence.
I hope this reassures you that residents whose subscriptions started 1 April last year are receiving a full 12-month period of service as per the terms of their subscription.
Kind regards
Mike
