BLTC have received this correspondence from North Northants Council
“As required under the Local Authorities’ Traffic Orders (Procedure) (England and Wales) Regulations 1996, I am writing to inform you about a proposal to implement a new Traffic Regulation Order (TRO) for Electric Vehicle Recharging Places in locations within North Northants namely Batch 6. (Map attached)
As part of the Councils ULEV Strategy and Action Plan it is intended to introduce electric vehicle charging bays to enable electric vehicle users to have access to unobstructed charging facilities reserved for the use of electric vehicles only. Part of the Council’s aim to have a phased introduction of on-street electric vehicle charging points across the area as part of the Virgin Park and Charge 2 project funded through Innovate UK.
I have attached plans giving further information about the proposed changes. If you have any comments or objections to those sites under your jurisdiction, please email NNCParkingenquiries@kier.co.uk by the 9th February 2024. If we do not hear from you by this date, we will assume you have no objections to the proposals being implemented and the next stage of the TRO process being complete”.
Please do let BLTC know if you have any comments or objections you would like them to pass on if you are unable to make them yourself.
